Ben Nguyen brings a uniquely diverse professional background to the mortgage industry, shaped by decades of experience in lending, operations, and technology. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Systems Security from the University of Phoenix, building on earlier studies in Business Administration at California State University Fullerton and Fullerton College.
Ben began his mortgage career in 1998 as a loan officer specializing in 125 percent CLTV second mortgages, quickly proving his talent in a high-volume inbound call center environment. He rejoined mortgage sales in 2003, where he consistently ranked among top producers and earned multiple funding awards and incentive trips as a Loan Originator. In 2005, Ben expanded his expertise into mortgage operations, spending more than fifteen years in processing, underwriting, and funding. His work ethic, reliability, and ability to excel in fast-paced, highly regulated environments earned him repeated recognition as a top performer throughout his tenure. From 2021 through 2025, he continued to leverage his knowledge and relationships through part-time mortgage broker sales.
Outside of the mortgage world, Ben’s professional experience has included work in the defense contracting industry, contributing to the planning and supply chain functions for products such as shoulder-fired rocket launchers and solid-state rocket motors used in military aircraft ejection systems. His multifaceted background reflects a disciplined, analytical mindset and a passion for mastering complex processes.
On a personal level, Ben has been married since 2006 and shares his home with two Bengal cats. He is an avid golfer and enjoys DIY woodworking, gunsmithing, and competitive target shooting. He is currently developing his hunting and backcountry camping abilities, inspired by the show MeatEater. Earlier in life, Ben was active in karate, snowboarding, and paintball before retiring from those sports in his late thirties. A fun note from his past: in his early twenties, he appeared as a background cast member in several well-known TV shows and films, including CSI: Vegas, VIP, Beverly Hills, 90210, Gone in 60 Seconds, and Galaxy Quest during his long-haired, California-surfer era.
