Susan Goodheer is a dynamic professional with a diverse career spanning the culinary, financial, and project operations industries. She graduated from New Mexico State University in 2010 with a degree in English Literature before pursuing her passion for pastry at Le Cordon Bleu, where she earned her culinary certificate in 2013.
Susan spent several years honing her craft in bakeries and hotel pastry shops, driven by her ambition to one day open her own pastry business. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the industry, she transitioned into the financial sector. She took on various roles, including Junior Processor, Loan Submission Specialist, and Lock Desk Coordinator, steadily advancing within the Loan Submissions team. Her expertise led her to train new associates and assist newly hired managers in understanding investor policies and procedures. She was also instrumental in developing detailed job aids to streamline training and enhance process efficiency.
Building on her financial operations experience, Susan later moved into project operations within the technology sector, where she played a key role in ensuring financial compliance and optimizing profitability for business partners. Her strong analytical skills and leadership abilities earned her a promotion to management, where she successfully led teams of four to five associates, fostering their development and operational success.
An Army brat and only child, Susan relocated to Virginia in 2024. In her free time, she enjoys the company of her two beloved English Bulldogs, Sookie and Walter, who keep her entertained (and her wallet empty). She finds relaxation in streaming Netflix at home, and when time allows, she indulges in her love for cooking and reading sci-fi fantasy fiction.
